Job summary

Cleveland Construction is seeking a Commercial Project Manager at our Mentor, OH location to lead high-profile commercial projects across the US. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, budget control, and client communications, with travel kept to a minimum.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years’ GC PM experience and a degree in Construction Management or related field. Proficiency in reading blueprints and using scheduling/CAD tools is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a GC Commercial Construction Project Manager.
• Degree in Construction Management, civil engineering, or related field preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand mechanical/electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Create realistic project timelines, track milestones, and manage the critical path from pre-construction to closeout.
• Oversee project costs, manage subcontractor bids, process pay applications, and prevent budget overages.
• Negotiate and draft contracts with general contractors, architects, engineers, and suppliers.
• Secure necessary local building licenses and ensure safety regulations and codes compliance.
• Act as the primary client contact, reporting progress and resolving site issues.

Commercial Project Manager

Cleveland Construction is looking to add a Commercial Project Manager to its Mentor, OH location, to serve as the primary project planner for high profile commercial construction projects across the US. This role requires minimal travel to the job sites to drive productivity and accuracy throughout the project.
