Job summary

Cleveland Construction is seeking a Commercial Project Manager at its Mentor, OH location to lead high-profile commercial construction projects across the US. You will schedule and track milestones from pre-construction to closeout, manage budgets and bids, and ensure contract compliance while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires reading blueprints, understanding mechanical/electrical systems, and using CAD or project scheduling software, with strong leadership and client

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience as GC Commercial Construction Project Manager.
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand mechanical/electrical systems; use project scheduling or CAD software.
• Strong leadership, budget tracking, negotiation, and risk-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create realistic project timelines, track milestones, and manage the critical path from pre-construction to closeout.
• Oversee project costs, manage subcontractor bids, process pay applications, and prevent budget overages.
• Negotiate and draft contracts with general contractors, architects, engineers, and suppliers.
• Secure necessary local building licenses and ensure safety regulations and codes are met.
• Act as the primary client contact, reporting progress updates and resolving site issues promptly.

Cleveland Construction is looking to add a Commercial Project Manager to its Mentor, OH location, to serve as the primary project planner for high profile commercial construction projects across the US. This role requires minimal travel to the job sites to drive productivity and accuracy throughout the project.
