Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Commercial Construction Project Manager for a long-term contract in Danville, VA. You will direct all phases of commercial construction projects, including budgets, schedules, and coordination with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of PM experience in K-12, higher-ed, or public sector projects, superb communication, and a solid grasp of cost control, contracts, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
• Experience leading K-12, Higher Education, and/or Public Sector projects.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, scheduling, cost control, and project documentation.
• Technical background with understanding of construction and web technologies.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and project financials.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all aspects of construction project management, from planning to implementation.
• Developing and managing project budgets, schedules, and forecasts.
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to determine project specifications.
• Managing and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
• Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
• Identifying project risks, developing risk mitigation plans, and managing project issues.
• Ensuring project legal documents are completed and signed.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with third parties/vendors.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
• Reporting and escalating to management as needed.
