Senior Commercial Construction PM — High-Profile Projects

Job summary

Jobot is hiring a Project Manager for commercial construction in Minneapolis, MN. You will own projects from preconstruction through completion, partnering with superintendents, engineers, subcontractors and owners to ensure safety, on-time delivery and quality.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong contract negotiation, and ability to keep projects running within budget. You will manage budgets, schedules, procurement and risk while upholding safety and compliance on site.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of project management experience in commercial construction, from planning to completion.
• Proven contract negotiation experience on subcontractor agreements and terms.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting and cost control.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, contracts, and technical documents.
• Experience managing subcontractors, coordinating cross-functional teams and client relationships.
• Familiar with change management, procurement, payment processes and contract administration.
• Proficient with PM and scheduling software, plus spreadsheets and reporting tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and ethical project delivery.
• Preferred degree in CM/engineering/architecture or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of commercial construction projects from planning to closeout.
• Develop and maintain budgets, schedules, forecasts, and resource plans.
• Lead contract negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Review contracts, drawings, specs, and proposals for scope gaps.
• Coordinate owners, architects, engineers, subs and internal teams for timely decisions.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, material procurement, and lead times.
• Manage change orders, pay apps, cost reporting, RFIs, submittals, and docs.
• Partner with site leadership to uphold safety standards and codes.
• Lead project meetings and communicate progress, resolving challenges early.
• Drive inspections, punch lists, owner handover and closeout.
