Job summary
Jobot is seeking a full-time Project Estimator for commercial construction in Newport News, Virginia. The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of experience in estimating, cost analysis, and preconstruction, with a strong grasp of documents, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
You will develop budgets and estimates from early budgeting through contract execution, interfacing with owners and design teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of commercial construction estimating experience.
- Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, proposals, and related documents.
- Experience developing material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
- Experience preparing subcontracts and final contract estimates.
Responsibilities
- Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other construction documents to develop accurate time, cost, material, and labor estimates.
- Calculate costs for materials, equipment, subcontracted work, and labor.
- Prepare project budget estimates and schedules.
- Develop procurement strategies for project materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
- Collaborate with Owners, Design Teams, and Project Management throughout the estimating and preconstruction process.
