Job summary

Westfield Specialty is seeking an experienced claims professional to oversee commercial and financial lines claims, including D&O, E&O, EPL and fidelity matters. The role requires a JD and state licensing, with strong analytical and negotiation skills.

You will collaborate with underwriting and legal teams, prepare reports, and participate in mediations and settlements. Occasional travel is required; onsite presence 4 days per week as policy dictates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor from an accredited law school required.
• Candidates will be required to obtain and maintain insurance adjuster licenses.
• Strong analytic, investigative and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Directly handle, manage and oversee commercial and financial lines claims (D&O, E&O, EPL, Fidelity) including investigations, coverage determinations and reserving.
• Provide customer service to internal and external customers and business partners.
• Review policies to determine coverage and communicate claim developments to management and reinsurers as needed.
• Work with outside counsel and vendors to manage budgets and litigation oversight.
