Job summary

Westfield Insurance is seeking an experienced Claims professional to manage complex commercial and financial lines claims (Public/Private D&O, E&O, EPL) with a focus on coverage analysis, investigation, and settlement. You will coordinate with outside counsel and reinsurers as needed while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong communication and analytical skills, travel as needed, and collaboration with underwriting and other partners to develop policy language and claim

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–10 years’ experience in specialty insurance claims or law

Responsibilities

• Directly handle and oversee commercial and financial lines claims (Public/Private D&O, E&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime)
• Manage all phases of claims from initial contact to resolution
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
• Review policies to determine coverage
• Resolve coverage matters with outside counsel when needed
• Prepare written reports and present to management, underwriting, actuary and reinsurers
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and Unfair Claims Practices Acts
• Communicate claim developments and authority requests to claims management
• Participate in mediations and settlement conferences
• Collaborate with underwriting to analyze claim trends and policy language
• Attend meetings with insureds and brokers with underwriting
• Coordinate with outside vendors and attorneys on budgets and litigation management
