Job summary

Westfield Specialty in Los Angeles seeks an experienced claims attorney to lead complex commercial and financial lines claims, including D&O, E&O, EPL, fiduciary and crime/fidelity.

The role requires a Juris Doctor and active state license, strong negotiation and writing skills, and willingness to travel. Work is onsite 4 days a week with collaboration across underwriting, claims, and external counsel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–10 years of experience in specialty insurance or law firm.
• Significant D&O, E&O or EPL experience with programs and MGAs.
• JD from an accredited law school and bar admission.
• Candidates must obtain and maintain insurance adjuster licenses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel and be onsite 4 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Directly handle and oversee commercial and financial lines claims (D&O, E&O, EPL).
• Manage claims through all phases: contact, investigation, coverage evaluation, reserving, resolution.
• Provide top-tier customer service to clients and partners.
• Review policies to determine coverage and resolve related matters with counsel.
• Present claims developments to management, underwriting, actuary and reinsurers.
