Job summary

USI Insurance Services is seeking a Claims Professional to serve as a liaison between clients and carriers for complex commercial claims in a hybrid role in the New England region and upstate New York.

This position emphasizes advocacy, claims reviews, carrier negotiations, and guidance on litigation and medical management, requiring 8+ years of claim adjusting experience and a strong understanding of multiple lines of coverage.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a claim adjusting role for a Commercial Lines carrier or agency.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Property & Casualty license preferred.
• Understanding of multiple commercial lines (e.g., workers' comp, liability, property, auto).
• Comfort with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office.
• Strong grasp of loss forecasting, mods, reserve analysis and collateral.
• Excellent business, negotiation and data interpretation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; capable with C-suite messaging.
• Team-oriented with ability to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct claim reviews with service plans; report financial impact to clients.
• Negotiate with carriers to develop special account instructions.
• Analyze loss trends and tailor service plans to reduce duration and cost.
• Advocate for clients on denials and coverage positions.
• Assist clients with evaluation and reporting of complex claims.
• Review reserving accuracy on specific claims.
• Develop action plans for complex/high-exposure claims.
• Provide guidance on litigation and medical management solutions.
• Partner with risk control and analytics teams to identify trends.
• Share insights in USI team huddles; support EPL, D&O, E&O claims.
• Evaluate TPAs and install TPA/carrier alongside the client.
