Job summary

USI Insurance Services is seeking a seasoned claims professional in a hybrid role serving complex Commercial Lines clients. You will advocate for clients, review reserves, negotiate with carriers, and analyze loss trends to reduce total cost of risk.

The ideal candidate has extensive claims experience (8+ years or 10-15 years in a large agency), a bachelor’s degree, and a P&C license preferred. Strong communication and collaboration across teams are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a claim adjusting role for a Commercial Lines Carrier ideal OR 10-15 years in a Commercial Lines agency.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Property & Casualty license preferred.
• Detailed understanding of multiple lines of commercial lines coverage with claims expertise in at least one line.
• Comfortable with internet-based programs and expertise in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Provide claims advocacy and consulting services for USI’s most complex Commercial Lines clients.
• Conduct claim reviews and monitor financial impact; communicate results to client.
• Negotiate with carriers to develop special account instructions.
• Analyze loss trends and tailor service plans to reduce claim duration, severity and costs.
• Advocate on denial decisions, reserve issues, and coverage positions.
• Assist clients with evaluation and reporting of complex claims.
• Review reserving accuracy on specific claims.
• Develop action plans for complex/high exposure claims.
• Guide on litigation and medical management solutions.
• Partner with risk control to identify loss trends and reduce total cost of risk.
