Vision Government Solutions, a leader in mass appraisal software and services, seeks a Commercial Senior Appraiser to oversee the valuation and review of commercial, industrial, mixed-use and apartment properties across New England. You will train junior staff, manage multiple priorities, and travel regionally as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mass appraisal experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
• Strong critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial mass appraisal process for revaluation projects in New England.
• Train and supervise junior staff and field data collectors.
• Occasional travel throughout New England.
• Perform field reviews of commercial properties to ensure data accuracy.
• Enter income and expense data into the Vision appraisal database.
• Create new schedules for income and expense data for income approach to value.
• Develop cost tables relating to buildings and land values.
• Verify and review sales data using the sales approach to value.
• Reconcile income and cost approaches for each property.
• Support informal hearings with taxpayers and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain positive relations with clients and company personnel.
• Communicate job status through reports and prescribed documents.
• Complete a final Mass Appraisal Document and finalize the project timely.
