Job summary

Jackson County is seeking an Assessment professional to assist the supervisor in training, review professional appraisals for accuracy, and appraise diverse commercial properties using Sales, Cost, and Income approaches. This role requires a Missouri General Appraisal Certification and a valid Missouri driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of commercial appraising experience.
• Possess a Missouri State General Appraisal Certification and be qualified as a supervisor for trainees for appraisal licenses.
• Must possess/maintain valid Missouri Driver’s License.
• Must submit to and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

• Assists the Supervisor and Senior Appraiser in the appraisal of the County’s largest and most complex properties by independently gathering a variety of economic data from realty firms, financial institutions and other organizations and individuals as necessary for use by the supervisor.
