Job summary

Pave Talent is seeking a senior Commercial Lines Account Manager to oversee a dedicated book of about 70 large CA real estate–focused accounts, in a fully remote arrangement. The role emphasizes depth over volume, maintaining strong client relationships and direct access to owners and underwriters.

You will lead renewal strategies, collaborate with the owner, and place coverage across admitted and non-admitted markets. A current P&C license and California property expertise are required.

Qualifications

• Multiple years as a Commercial Lines Account Manager at an independent agency or brokerage.
• Active P&C license required.
• Experience with California commercial property and multi-location schedules.
• Experience on larger accounts, ideally $50,000+ in annual premium.
• Placement experience in excess and surplus (non-admitted) markets.
• Experience coaching or training other account managers.
• Interest in new technology and AI in daily work.

Responsibilities

• Manage a dedicated book of about 70 large commercial accounts, many with complex real estate holdings.
• Build renewal strategy with the owner and lead client conversations on coverage and risk.
• Work directly with underwriters to market, negotiate, and place coverage in admitted and non-admitted markets.
• Identify gaps across client programs and make proactive recommendations.
• Direct the support team on administrative work and ensure documentation is clean.
• The role can evolve into a player-coach position mentoring newer account managers.
