Job summary

Suno is seeking a detail-oriented backend engineer to own the commerce platform end-to-end, including billing, subscriptions, payments, and metering. You’ll tackle entitlement management, involuntary churn recovery, and fraud prevention, while shaping the ledger-based architecture for scalable revenue.

Candidates should have strong reliability, product sense, and experience with payments ecosystems. The role is onsite in NYC or Cambridge, MA, with competitive compensation and equity

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, ideally building financial or payments infrastructure.
• Strong reliability and correctness mindset, with failure-mode thinking.
• Experience with Stripe, RevenueCat, or payments/fraud systems is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own Suno's commerce platform end-to-end for web and mobile.
• Develop billing, subscription, payment, and metering services.
• Lead entitlement management and fraud prevention workflows.
• Build the financial correctness layer with accounting and reconciliation.
