Job summary

Baseten is hiring a Software Engineer focused on pricing, billing, and revenue infrastructure in the United States. You will own the end-to-end billing stack, including pricing, invoicing, metering, and reporting, and partner with Finance, Sales, and GTM teams to deliver scalable solutions.

You will design systems for new products and ensure reliability of revenue workflows while shipping iteratively and maintaining a strong customer experience.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with billing systems or building internal tools.
• Strong knowledge of the web stack and databases is essential.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills are required.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS or related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end billing and revenue infrastructure, including pricing, invoicing, metering, and reporting foundations.
• Build and evolve the billing platform and integrations (including Orb).
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, GTM, and engineering to translate workflows into tooling and automation.
• Design scalable systems for new products, packaging, and go-to-market motions.
• Improve reliability with monitoring, alerts, and incident response for revenue workflows.
• Lead high-impact projects with clear requirements and durable quality improvements.
• Debug production issues and communicate with stakeholders for durable fixes.
