Job summary

ABM Industries in Sugar Land, Texas, seeks a Senior Collection Specialist to lead complex accounts, improve cash flow, and drive aging reductions. The role partners with Operations, Finance, and Sales to resolve payment barriers and optimize the invoice-to-cash cycle.

You will train and mentor collection staff and contribute to SOPs and process enhancements. Join ABM Industries to advance working capital metrics, support cross-functional teams, and help achieve monthly and quarterly collection

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of collection practices, dispute resolution, and AR management.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of high-value, complex customer accounts.
• Conduct proactive collection activities to secure timely payments.
• Analyze aging reports and payment trends to identify collection risks and opportunities.
• Resolve escalated collection issues, disputes, and billing concerns.
• Develop and execute collection strategies for delinquent accounts.
• Support monthly and quarterly cash collection goals.
• Mentor Collection Specialists and support onboarding.
