Job summary

First Internet Bank of Indiana is seeking a Senior Collections Representative in Fishers, IN to manage delinquent accounts and work toward favorable settlements. You will contact borrowers, explain options, and document activity in the servicing system while adhering to policies and regulations.

The role requires 3+ years in collections, strong communication, and the ability to handle escalated cases in a fast-paced environment. Banking experience is a plus and compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three+ years of direct collections experience.
• Experience with bankruptcy/foreclosure accounts preferred.
• Ability to handle customer inquiries professionally and resolve issues.
• Able to learn and use multiple computer systems and web-based tools.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Contact delinquent borrowers to collect past due payments and fees.
• Communicate with borrowers via phone, email, and written correspondence in a compliant manner.
• Document all collection activity accurately and timely in the loan servicing system.
• Explain payment options, account status, and basic loan information to borrowers.
• Follow established collection policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Escalate complex accounts to senior staff or management as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable consumer lending and collections regulations.
