Job summary

Coda Search│Staffing is seeking a Senior Collections Specialist to manage a portfolio of client receivables in a fast‑moving professional services environment. You will collaborate with Practice Team partners and clients to turn aging balances into timely payments and guide escalation strategies.

You will build collection action plans, resolve deductions/unapplied credits, and document all steps for partners and clients while coordinating with Billing and Finance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of collections experience in legal or professional services.
• Experience working with partners and clients.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience with Aderant, Elite or 3E preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with assigned partners on the Practice Team to review their matters and develop collection action plans.
• Manage an assigned receivables portfolio, coordinating strategy and escalation with your Supervisor and the Practice Team.
• Work directly with clients to secure payments on time.
• Research, analyze, and resolve client deductions and unapplied credits for the Collections and Practice teams.
• Prepare documentation and analysis for partners and clients as needed.
• Track the status of assigned client accounts, follow up on aging receivables, and keep detailed records of every step taken to facilitate payment.
• Work with the Billing and Finance Departments on client deductions, cash receipts, collections, and special projects.

Job description

The Senior Collections Specialist will manage a portfolio of client receivables and work closely with practice partners and clients to turn aging balances into timely payments. Reporting to the Collections Director, you'll build collection action plans, guide escalation strategy, and resolve client deductions and unapplied credits. This role is a strong fit for an experienced collections professional from the legal or professional services industry who can manage client accounts with minimal supervision.
