Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior leader to own and optimize the firm’s aged receivables management. You will define ownership, drive policy execution, and scale campaigns while coordinating with partners across legal and finance.

Your role will require strong negotiation skills, analytical rigor, and a proactive approach to risk management. You will build and maintain dashboards, surface emerging risks, and mentor Revenue Management and Account Managers to ensure timely collections and adherence to

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in collections at a big law firm, with at least 4 years in firm‑wide collections management.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, information technology, or related field (master’s degree or MBA preferred).
• Strong financial judgment and comfort operating in high‑stakes professional services environment.
• Excellent negotiation skills, including handling difficult client conversations effectively.
• Operationally disciplined: proactive, thorough, and capable of closing loops.
• Ability to balance firmness with diplomacy and maintain executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Establish a clear aged receivables ownership model for the Revenue Management team.
• Lead Financial Policy compliance, executing escalation paths, and resolution playbooks.
• Develop a structured operating cadence for monthly, quarterly and year end collections campaigns.
• Scale the collections function from status tracking to broad, coordinated actions.
• Lead identification and resolution of aged receivables risks, including high‑dollar or complex balances.
• Develop tools and reports to surface emergent risks early.
• Support partners in sensitive client conversations and negotiate complex AR workouts.
• Evaluate and manage relationships with external payment solution providers.
• Drive adherence to Financial Policy limits on terms, discounts, write‑offs, and deferred payments.
• Translate policies into practical tools for Members and Finance Department.
