Job summary

Liberty Utilities in Goodyear, AZ seeks a Level III/IV Water Distribution Operator to lead field crews and manage water service tasks. You will perform maintenance on mains, hydrants, meters, and appurtenances, while enforcing safety rules and coordinating with contractors.

The role requires a Grade 3 Water Distribution Certificate (Grade 4 preferred), a high school diploma or GED, and a Class A license where required, with at least five years in water utilities.

Qualifications

• Must possess Grade 3 Water Distribution Certificate, or obtain within 18 months; Grade 4 desired.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; Class A license may be required.
• Minimum 5 years of related water utility experience.
• Proficient with CIS and basic computer skills; can travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and decide on job details and emergencies.
• Lead Liberty staff and contractors as required.
• Fills out daily safety inspections and service orders.
• Repair and maintain mains, hydrants, meters and valves.
• Install, test, disinfect, and connect water services and appurtenances.
• Ensure safe work zones and maintain tools, vehicles and paperwork.
