Job summary

California Screw Products Corporation is seeking an experienced header man to set up, operate, and maintain multiple lines to produce metal parts to blueprint specifications. The role requires first-run inspection, routine maintenance, and the ability to read mechanical drawings and measure parts with precision.

You will install tooling, establish processing parameters, and monitor equipment to ensure quality parts while handling material movement and lifting up to 35 lbs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of header man experience
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Experience measuring dimensions with calipers, micrometers, gauges
• Able to interpret instructions from written, oral, or diagrammatic sources

Responsibilities

• Tear down, set up and operate multiple lines to tolerances for hot or cold headers or trimmers
• Conduct first run inspections and periodic quality checks
• Maintain equipment via routine cleaning, lubrication, fluid checks, air pressure and oil levels
• Install cold heading tooling and set up support equipment
• Compute feed length and progression to ensure part quality
• Establish processing parameters and monitor systems to maintain specs
• Read shadowgraphs, micrometers, calipers and other measuring tools
• Perform minor die repairs and adjustments to maintain part integrity
• Move stock and finished parts, including lifting up to 35 lbs
