California Screw Products Corporation is seeking an experienced header man to set up and operate cold forming machines, read blueprints, and maintain tolerances on metal parts.

You will perform first run inspections, routine maintenance, and ensure production meets quality standards while observing ITAR requirements. This on-site role requires 5+ years of header experience and ability to read drawings with precision.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of header man experience
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or schedule form
• Able to measure dimensions with calipers, micrometers, gauges
• Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances

Responsibilities

• Tear down, set up and operate multiple product lines to tolerances
• Conduct first run inspection and periodic quality checks
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment including cleaning and lubrication
• Install cold heading tooling in machines
• Set up and install various support equipment
• Compute feed length and progression to produce quality parts
• Establish processing parameters and monitor equipment for quality
• Read measuring equipment such as shadowgraphs, micrometers, calipers
• Perform minor die repairs and tooling adjustments
• Move stock to and from machines and load finished parts
