Job summary

Stumptown is seeking an Educator to deliver unparalleled coffee education to wholesale partners, retail cafes, and internal teams. The role works closely with the Wholesale and Customer Support groups to align content with business and sales goals and to ensure brand identity shines in every training session.

The Educator will lead in-person and virtual classes, host tastings, plan schedules, and maintain the Training Lab, collaborating with the Director of Education and other Educators to grow

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of specialty coffee industry experience; education/training experience preferred.
• Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for coffee.
• Excellent barista skills, including coffee preparation and hospitality.
• Knowledge of coffee origins, processing methods, and roasting approaches.
• Confident and effective communicator in various settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver unparalleled coffee education and tailored support to wholesale partners, retail cafes, and the Stumptown team.
• Build and maintain expertise of Stumptown coffees and quality standards.
• Host in-person and virtual barista classes while maintaining content quality; adapt as needed.
• Lead workshops with Director of Education and other Educators; plan extracurricular sessions.
