Job summary

Healthfirst is seeking a Coding Educator responsible for educating providers on coding and ensuring compliance with CMS and ICD10 guidelines. You will manage provider inquiries and conduct audits to validate coding accuracy.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of five years coding education experience, a high school diploma or GED, and hold or obtain a Certified Coding Professional certification. Healthfirst offers equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience coding education in a hospital, physician, or insurance environment.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Certified Coding Professional certification: CPC and CRC (must obtain CRC within the first 6 months of employment).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and educate providers on proper use of diagnosis coding.
• Conduct audit of clinical documentation encounters.
• Train clinical providers on coding guidelines.
