Responsibilities

• Apply advanced ICD10, CPT, and HCPCS coding to complex records across service types.
• Perform detailed data abstraction for complete and accurate billing data.
• Mentor Coder I staff, providing guidance and education as needed.
• Utilize encoder tools and Coding Clinic guidance to ensure compliance.
• Review documentation to support proper code assignment and minimize denials.
• Collaborate with departments to resolve discrepancies and improve documentation quality.
