Job summary

Genworth is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specialized in COBOL to support the CLOAS application within the Long Term Care policy administration system. The role involves collaboration with developers, QA, and business partners, and will require monitoring, incident resolution, and change implementation in a mainframe environment.

You will design and test solutions, create data reports, and participate in agile ceremonies.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree required or equivalent mainframe experience.
• Strong COBOL, JCL, CICS, IMS programming skills with production support experience.
• Experience with SQL and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CLOAS and related mainframe systems, resolve failures and incidents.
• Analyze user incidents to determine impact and propose fixes.
• Design, code, document and test solutions within the change control process.
• Create system reports for data analysis, regulatory and audit needs including SOX.
