You will lead COBOL applications on the mainframe, work with JCL, CICS, and DB2, and collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver stable, scalable servicing capabilities. Emphasizes problem solving, code reviews, and CI/CD improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years in engineering environments delivering software.
• 7+ years developing and supporting COBOL-based applications.
• Experience with mainframe tech: JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, batch.
• SDLC practices and version control knowledge.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Familiar with DXC platforms (wmA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design COBOL-based solutions for annuity servicing and policy admin.
• Develop, maintain, and support core COBOL applications.
• Support modernization by integrating mainframe with APIs and distributed tech.
• Collaborate in teams; participate in planning and implementation.
• Lead code reviews and help teammates troubleshoot issues.
