Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent experience.
7+ years engineering experience delivering software.
7+ years COBOL-based applications in enterprise environments.
Experience with JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and batch processing.
Strong SDLC, version control and security knowledge.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

Design and develop COBOL-based applications for annuity servicing.
Modernize mainframe applications and integrate with APIs and data services.
Provide technical leadership and collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams.
Troubleshoot production issues and improve stability and scalability of systems.
Contribute to engineering standards, patterns and best practices.
Mentor junior engineers and participate in talent development.
