Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Strategic Coatings Manufacturing Engineer to develop and qualify new coating production processes at HSMC sites in Asheville, NC; East Hartford, CT; and Middletown, NY. The role requires strong project management and cross-site collaboration to meet delivery and quality goals.

You will lead process development, equipment considerations, and the creation of work instructions, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards while pursuing cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations or similar field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
• 3–5 years of experience in operations, manufacturing engineering or related area.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Develop and qualify new processes to meet delivery and quality targets at HSMC sites in Asheville NC, East Hartford CT, and Middletown NY.
• Demonstrate technical project management and strong communication across the module center.
• Define future process needs, including equipment, tooling, and inspection for future state processes.
• Lead testing at factory and site acceptance of new equipment designs.
• Develop production processes, work instructions, quality requirements, and regulatory requirements.
• Design and lead standardized engineering practices, processes, tools, and methods.
• Lead Manufacturing Readiness Level alignment for new processes.
• Pursue operational excellence as subject matter expert for next generation coating process.
