Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. is seeking a CNC VMC Operator in Barberton, OH to set up and operate large machining centers. You will perform precision multi-axis machining, edit and write programs with supervision, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances per drawings.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years of experience on large machines, and US citizenship. Shift availability and a comprehensive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; journeyman level preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of precision machining on large machines desired.
• Must be a US citizen and able to work all shifts.
• Proficient with CNC controls and writing/editing programs.
• Ability to read tolerances and interpret drawings (ANSI Y14.5).
• Experience with measurement tools and tooling setups.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-axis machining with high precision on large machines.
• Set up and operate CNC vertical machining centers and tooling.
• Develop/test run programs with programmer; proofread for issues.
• Position and secure workpieces; verify tools and tooling calls.
• Inspect finished features using probes and precision instruments.
• Maintain documentation and records of production steps.
