Job summary

Colonial Group seeks a working lead CNC machine operator responsible for all aspects of setting up and operating precision CNC centers. The ideal candidate is an experienced Level III/IV operator capable of leading others, maintaining quality, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

You will interpret blueprints, set up tools, and monitor tools with precision instruments, while coordinating with shifts to meet production goals. A strong background in 3–5 axis CNC machining is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational machining training or certification required.
• Minimum of 6 years in manufacturing with CNC experience.
• Experience operating 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines.

Responsibilities

• Oversees department personnel and assists with training.
• Ensures safety practices and PPE usage.
• Sets up and operates CNC vertical and horizontal machines.
• Interprets blueprints and setup sheets accurately.
• Monitors with precision measuring tools and documents specs.
• Maintains production schedule and coordinates with supervision.
• Performs troubleshooting and program edits as needed.
