Job summary

Opti Staffing is seeking an experienced CNC Setup / Machine Operator in Portland, OR to set up and run a range of machines, including Fanuc and AB-controlled equipment, ensuring parts meet tight geometries and tolerances.

You will troubleshoot, program NC/robotic systems as needed, and perform quality inspections while adhering to OSHA and Lockout/Tagout safety requirements. Day and swing shifts available, full-time position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC machine setup and operation experience.
• Experience performing complex setups and changeovers.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of precision measurement and quality inspection.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and programming issues.
• Knowledge of OSHA and Lockout/Tagout safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of machines and automated equipment.
• Perform complex and non-routine setups and changeovers.
• Set up machines to produce parts with tight tolerances and complex geometries.
• Perform NC and/or robotic programming as needed.
• Monitor machine operation and production output to meet quality targets.
• Conduct regular quality audits by measuring components to tight tolerances.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and implement improvements.
• Train operators as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and handle hazardous materials properly.
