Job summary

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions is seeking a CNC Setup Machinist to fabricate parts on NC machines, edit G-code, and determine speeds, feeds, and tooling to maximize efficiency. The role requires reading blueprints, performing machine setups, and supporting operators to maintain part conformance.

The candidate should have 5–7 years of CNC experience in manufacturing, with familiarity in 5S/Lean practices. Prolonged shifts and a high attention to detail are expected for quality production

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
5–7 years CNC experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with 5S and Lean Manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

Edits and troubleshoots G code programs and adjusts tooling offsets.
Performs set up operations for work orders per SMED process sheet.
Validates unproven CNC programs for first time manufacture.
Edits programs at the machine to ensure finished parts meet specifications.
Reads data sheets, blueprints, and materials to determine dimensions and tolerances.
Performs complex progressive machining operations on a diversified parts line.
Provides technical support to CNC Operators to solve production problems.
Collects and records SPC data to ensure quality standards.
