Job summary

AM&M Machining is seeking an Advanced CNC Mill/Lathe Programmer-Operator in New Kensington, PA. You will program, operate and edit CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components used in defense, nuclear, and industrial applications.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of CNC machining, Journeyman Papers, and strong blueprint literacy. Mastercam, Fanuc, and Doosan experience are preferred. Safety and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Journeyman Papers are preferred.
• NIMS or similar certifications are a plus.
• 6+ years of CNC machining experience; strong manual backgrounds considered.

Responsibilities

• Program/operate/edit CNC mills and lathes to manufacture precision parts.
• Execute efficient setups using detailed sheets and tool lists.
• Interpret blueprints, engineered drawings, and specifications.
• Inspect with micrometers, calipers, and other gauges; deburr/finish to spec.
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Apply manual machining skills when needed.
• Collaborate on troubleshooting and process improvements.
• Mentor apprentices and share know-how
