Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; technical certificate/degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years CNC programming and machine-operating experience.
• Experience with conversational CNC programming preferred.
• Experience with CNC lathes and mills required; Mazak-style controls a plus.
• Experience machining steel, stainless steel, bronze, cast materials, and plastics.
• Minimum five years using metrology and precision measurement equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret CNC programs (G-code, M-code).
• Demonstrated ability to independently set up, operate, and adjust CNC equipment.
• Strong blueprint-reading and technical drawing interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, operate, and monitor conversational CNC lathes and mills.
• Produce components according to work orders and drawings.
• Inspect and measure parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.
• Select tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job.
• Read CNC programs and adjust as needed.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues to maintain production.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with shop standards.
• Follow production schedules and meet lead times.
