Job summary

Merritt Precision is seeking a CNC Programmer/Mill Operator-Engineer to develop master and plug tooling using a large gantry robot. You will write engineering strategies for toolpaths, manage safe operation, and coordinate personnel and machine usage in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include using Siemens NX for cutting strategies, designing support structures, operating Fanuc CNC machines, and ensuring part quality against design models. A strong CAD/CAM background is essential.

Qualifications

• Technical controls background or related technical field (B.S. Mechanical Engineering a plus).
• Understanding CAD/CAM fundamentals.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all workers by complying with OSHA and safety procedures.
• Use Siemens NX to develop cutting strategies and toolpaths for machining plugs/masters.
• Design support structures for plugs/masters.
• Operate large form factor Fanuc CNC machines.
• Make manual program adjustments as necessary.
• Supervise the machine to ensure toolpath validity.
• Inspect all parts to ensure accuracy with the design model.
