Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Cheswick, PA is seeking CNC Programmers to join our Pittsburgh area location. The role focuses on releasing new products, developing machining processes, and managing NC programs.

You will collaborate with design and manufacturing teams, mentor operators, and contribute to tool selection and CAM libraries. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, has 5+ years of manufacturing experience including CAM (Mastercam), and has GD&T

Qualifications

BS in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
Minimum five years in manufacturing with machining, welding/fabrication, assembly, electrical, plastics.
Minimum five years’ experience using CAM, i.e., Mastercam for NC programming.
Siemens NX CAD for NC programming is a plus.
Blueprint reading, GD&T per ASME Y14.5M.
Experience with nuclear and/or military quality systems.

Responsibilities

Interface with design engineering to release new products and review drawings before release.
Develop machining processes and select tools for components and sub-assemblies.
Manage NC program files for revision control per EMD procedures.
Collaborate with equipment procurement during NC machine/tool purchases.
Train and mentor Operator Programmers (qualified hourly machinists).
Create tooling libraries in CAM and select tooling from vendor catalogs.
