Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer in Seattle to develop programs for 3- and 5-axis mills using Mastercam, Vericut, and other CAM tools. You will translate customer designs into efficient NC programs, verify them via simulation, and prepare fixture tooling and setup sheets for production runs.

The role emphasizes optimizing tool paths, speeds, and feeds to balance quality and throughput, with a focus on meeting tight production schedules in a high-mix environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of CNC programming experience (including Mastercam).
• Ability to set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills; strong knowledge of tooling, speeds and feeds.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Use Mastercam to program CNC parts for 3-axis and 5-axis mills.
• Create optimized tool paths and machining strategies for complex parts.
• Simulate NC files in Vericut to verify programs before production.
• Maintain revision control on programs and setup sheets.
• Generate setup sheets and work instructions for machine operators.
• Review customer drawings and specs to determine optimal machining approach.
• Optimize cutting parameters, tool selection, and sequences to reduce cycle time.
• Design and machine fixture tooling for production runs.
• Assist with machine setup and operation as needed.
• Manage programming workload to meet production schedules.
