Job summary

X Energy, LLC seeks a highly skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist to program, set up, and operate advanced CNC equipment in the XTAC Workshop. You will support high-precision component manufacture, collaborate with engineering, and drive quality through tooling and process improvements.

You will read blueprints, write CAM programs, develop jigs, and ensure safe, compliant operations. The role reports to the Workshop Manager and follows standard safety practices.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing with CNC programming and setup.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360 or NX.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve machine, tooling, and programming issues independently.
• Experience using precision measuring devices and inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute core tasks with minimal supervision from the Job Profile.
• Read engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and specifications to plan machining.
• Develop CNC programs and toolpaths for complex components.
• Set up and operate CNC and manual machines including 5-axis mills.
• Perform in-process and final inspections with precision metrology.
