Job summary

Verto People Ltd in Pflugerville, TX, is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist to program, set up, and operate 3- and 5-axis machines for aerospace, defense, and robotics components.

You will design fixtures, select tooling, perform first-article inspection, and manage production queues while mentoring junior machinists. This hands-on role requires CAD/CAM proficiency, GD&T reading, and ITAR compliance; AS9100 experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience operating CNC milling and/or turning in prototype manufacturing.
• Proficient in MasterCAM or equivalent CAM software for 3-axis programming.
• Ability to read GD&T drawings and perform first article inspection.
• ITAR compliance and U.S. Person status.

Responsibilities

• Program 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes from STEP models and drawings.
• Set up, operate, and run CNC mills and lathes across materials including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and plastics.
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and mid-run adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Design and fabricate fixtures, jigs, and work-holding solutions.
• Perform first-article and in-process inspections with precision instruments.
• Manage production queue and prioritize across multiple jobs to meet schedules.
• Mentor and train less experienced machinists on setup and machining techniques.
