Job summary

Bel Fuse Inc. is seeking a Senior CNC Programmer/Machinist in Minnesota to generate programs for new components and machines, ensuring high-quality products on time.

You will setup, operate, program, and troubleshoot current machines and new technology while contributing to process improvements and coaching other machinists. You will lead machining efforts, adjust speeds/feeds, inspect parts with precision tools, and maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with procedures.

Qualifications

• AAS Degree or Diploma in Computer Integrated Manufacturing or related discipline.
• 10+ years relevant experience in a machining environment.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex setups from programs on machines to ensure parts meet print and specs.
• Determine program edits to adjust speeds and feeds for proper, efficient machining.
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Adjust machine offsets to achieve required tolerances.
• Maintain production schedules and ensure quality inspections per procedures.
• Train other machinists and provide leadership in the shop.

Job description

The Senior CNC Programmer/Machinist will generate programs for all new components and new machines to cost effectively produce high-quality products in a timely basis that meet customer requirements, and ensures programs are under strict revision control. Setup, operate, program, and trouble-shoot current machines and new technology. Provides input to Engineering and Management staff on process, tooling, and equipment issues. Provide solutions for programming and setup issues on manufacturability of new parts. Willingness to train other Machinists, providing on-the-job training on all aspects of machining. Provide leadership to developing machinist.

Are You Looking To:

• Perform complex setups from programs on machines to ensure that completed parts conform to print and process specifications.
• Determine program edits required to adjust speeds and feeds in order to machine parts properly and efficiently.
• Accurately inspect finished parts using microscopes, tool maker's scope, micrometers, OGP, gage pins, thread gages, indicators, calipers or other equipment.
• Adjust machine off-sets to achieve required tolerances.
• Maintain adherence to production schedules and ensure quality inspections are completed in accordance with established procedures, resulting in a limited amount of Non-conforming Material Reports (NMR).
• Assigned work area, tools and gauges will be clean, and kept neat, safe and orderly at all times.
• Performs routine maintenance.

What You'll Need:

• AAS Degree or Diploma in Computer Integrated Manufacturing or related discipline; or
• 10 plus years relevant experience in a Machining environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
