Job summary

Bluefors Oy seeks a skilled CNC Programmer II to plan and optimize programs for multi-axis machining. You will analyze drawings, develop programs with PartMaker for complex parts, and support tooling, setup, and documentation while guiding junior programmers.

You will conduct proof runs, verify parts against specs, and contribute to continuous improvement, safety, and quality across the shop. Syracuse, NY-based role with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with Apprenticeship; or an associate’s degree plus 4+ years of related experience.
• Experience with PartMaker software and CNC programming for lathes and mills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, tolerances and machine documentation.
• Strong knowledge of G&M codes and CAM software for multi-axis machining.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings/3D models to determine machining requirements and tooling.
• Develop and optimize CNC programs for 2–9 axis machines using PartMaker.
• Conduct prove-outs, trial runs and inspections to verify part conformance.
• Maintain master CNC program directory and provide technical guidance to staff.
• Plan setups, select tooling and prepare setup/process sheets.
