Job summary

Ashton North LLC, a Connecticut aerospace precision manufacturer, seeks an experienced CNC Programmer to develop, test, and optimize CNC machining programs for precision components. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure efficient processes and continuous improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CNC programming experience, strong CNC milling expertise, and solid CAD/GD&T skills, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in Engineering or Manufacturing Technology preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience.
• Strong experience programming CNC milling machines.
• Proficiency with CAD software and CNC programming.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and optimize CNC programs for milling operations
• Program custom components and tooling for production applications
• Develop machining methods and tooling strategies
• Set up and support CNC milling machines during production
• Test, troubleshoot, and validate CNC programs on production equipment
• Modify programs to reflect engineering changes and product revisions
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve machining efficiency
• Maintain programming documentation and revision control
• Support process improvements to reduce cycle times and improve quality
• Ensure all programs meet safety, quality, and customer requirements
