Job summary

SJ Mobilita is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join one of our established aerospace manufacturing clients in New York. The role focuses on developing efficient milling programs, tooling strategies, and production support for precision components.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CNC programming experience, proficiency with CAD software, and strong GD&T skills. Aerospace experience is strongly preferred, with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of CNC programming experience.
• Experience with CNC milling machines.
• Ability to read and interpret GD&T drawings.
• Proficiency with CAD and CNC software.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Create, test, and optimize CNC programs for milling operations
• Program custom components and tooling for production
• Develop machining methods and tooling strategies
• Set up and support CNC milling machines during production
• Troubleshoot and validate CNC programs on production equipment
• Modify programs based on engineering changes and product revisions
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams
• Maintain programming documentation and revision control
• Support process improvements to reduce cycle times and improve quality
• Ensure programs meet safety, quality, and customer requirements
• Associate’s Degree preferred in Engineering or Manufacturing Technology
• 5+ years of CNC Programming experience
• Strong experience with CNC milling machines
• Proficiency with CAD software and CNC programming
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Aerospace manufacturing experience
• Experience with complex precision-machined components
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
