Job summary

SJ Mobilita is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer for an aerospace manufacturing client in Barkhamsted, CT. You will create, test, and optimize CNC programs for milling operations and support production with tooling and setup.

The role requires 5+ years of CNC programming experience, strong milling machine expertise, CAD/CAM proficiency, and the ability to read engineering drawings with GD&T. Aerospace background and Lean manufacturing knowledge are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred in Engineering or Manufacturing Technology
• 5+ years CNC programming experience
• Strong experience with CNC milling machines
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge preferred
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Aerospace manufacturing experience
• Experience with complex precision-machined components

Responsibilities

• Create, test, and optimize CNC programs for milling operations
• Program custom components and tooling for production
• Develop machining methods and tooling strategies
• Set up and support CNC milling machines during production
• Troubleshoot and validate CNC programs on production equipment
• Modify programs based on engineering changes and product revisions
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams
• Maintain programming documentation and revision control
• Support process improvements to reduce cycle times and improve quality
• Ensure programs meet safety, quality, and customer requirements
