Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a CNC Programmer to join a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer supporting hypersonic programs. You will develop CNC programs using Mastercam, support milling, turning, and 5-axis operations, and work closely with machinists and engineers to optimize processes.

Candidates should have 5+ years Mastercam experience, GD&T reading, ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

5+ years of Mastercam programming experience.
Experience programming mills, lathes, and 5-axis CNC machines.
Strong understanding of tooling, machining methods, speeds, and feeds.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
Experience creating CNC programs from scratch.
Hands-on troubleshooting experience on the shop floor.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
High school diploma.
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

Program and optimize CNC machining operations using Mastercam.
Develop machining strategies for mill, lathe, and 5-axis equipment.
Select tooling, work-holding, speeds, and feeds for new parts.
Create setup sheets and manufacturing documentation.
Support first-run prove-outs and production troubleshooting.
Revise existing programs to improve efficiency and quality.
Work closely with machinists, engineering, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
Support production of precision aerospace and defense components.
