Job summary

Guided Search Partners in New Oxford, PA, is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to develop, optimize, and maintain programs for aerospace components. You will interpret drawings, GD&T, and specs while collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure first-pass readiness and high quality.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in CNC programming, aerospace experience, and proficiency with CAD/CAM tools (Mastercam, NX CAM, GibbsCAM, ESPRIT, Fusion 360).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam preferred).

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining centers.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, CAD models, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Select tooling, cutting parameters, workholding methods, and machining sequences.
• Perform program prove-outs and first article support to ensure production readiness.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and revise programs to improve quality, efficiency, and cycle time.
• Collaborate with machinists during setup and production to resolve programming or tooling issues.
• Develop standardized machining processes with Manufacturing Engineering.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer specifications.
• Maintain accurate program documentation, setup sheets, tooling lists, and revision control.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for machining-related quality issues.
