Job summary

Sigma Design Inc in Canby, OR is seeking a Senior CNC Programmer to develop, optimize, and support CNC machining programs for aerospace components. You will work with Mastercam, hyperMill, and SolidWorks CAM to create toolpaths, review drawings, and ensure first article success.

The role demands 3+ years of CNC programming, 3-, 4-, and/or 5-axis experience, and strong GD&T knowledge. It offers a comprehensive benefits package, with OT and a typical schedule from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday

Qualifications

3+ years of CNC programming and machining experience.
Experience programming 3-, 4-, and/or 5-axis CNC machines.
Proficiency with CAM software such as Mastercam, hyperMill, or SolidWorks CAM.
Strong understanding of G-code and M-code.
Able to read and interpret drawings, models, GD&T.

Responsibilities

Develop CNC programs using Mastercam, hyperMill, SolidWorks CAM, or similar software.
Create and optimize toolpaths, cutting strategies, and machining processes.
Review drawings, models, specs, and GD&T requirements.
Support setup, prove-out, and first article activities.
Troubleshoot programming, tooling, setup, and machining issues.
Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production leaders to improve quality and efficiency.
Document programming methods, setup notes, tooling requirements, and process improvements.
Support continuous improvement across machining operations.
Adhere to safety requirements and maintain a clean work environment.
