Job summary

Sigma Design seeks an experienced Senior CNC Programmer for its Canby, OR facility. The role develops, optimizes, and supports CNC programs to ensure quality and efficiency in producing precision components.

Responsibilities include creating toolpaths, reviewing drawings and GD&T, and assisting with setup and first article activities. Requires 3+ years of CNC programming and 3-, 4-, 5-axis experience, with CAM software proficiency; US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC programming and machining experience.
• Experience programming 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines.
• Proficiency with CAM software such as Mastercam, HyperMill, SolidWorks CAM.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs using CAM software and optimize toolpaths and machining processes.
• Review drawings, models, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Support setup, prove-out, and first article activities for parts.
• Troubleshoot programming, tooling, setup, and machining issues.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production leaders to improve quality and efficiency.
• Document methods, tooling needs, and process improvements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across machining operations.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean work environment.
