Job summary

Preferred Partner Search is seeking a hands-on production leader to run first-shift machining operations for a large, multi-machine CNC environment in Saint Peters, MO. You will own safety, quality, productivity, staffing, and machine utilization while driving cross-functional improvements across tooling, processes and workflow.

The role requires 10+ years in CNC machining with 5–10 years leading teams, deep blueprint reading, GD&T, and ability to interpret CMM data to guide decisions.

Qualifications

• Lean leadership and hands-on supervision.
• Strong CNC machining knowledge, GD&T and inspection.
• Ability to interpret CMM data for decisions.
• Training and coaching machinists and leads.
• ERP/MRP systems usage and Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Run first-shift machining operations for 15–20 staff and leads.
• Own safety, quality, productivity, staffing and machine utilization.
• Implement equipment, tooling and workflow improvements to remove bottlenecks.
• Maintain 6S, Lean, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop labor forecasts, productivity metrics and cost reports.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to refine SOPs and production procedures.
